We have been in direct contact with Seagate on this very issue. We have
their explicit approval for mounting their drives upside down in our case.
Per our discussions with Seagate, there are some early drives that may not
operate in this position, notably early ST225's. As for your ST157N,
Seagate assures us that the design of our case supports normal operation
for the drive and will not effect the life, performance, or warranty. I
hope this puts everyone's fears to rest.
