Can Anyone tell me about the PCPatch program in the toolbox? I dl'd it
and tried it, but it won't format disks. It starts, but before it finishes
the first track it says !error -4!. The doc gave no explanation.
Any ideas or better ways to read/write/transfer amigados & MSDOS? -SJK
Steve, there are several better ways.
1. DOS-2-DOS from Central Coast Software. It has worked very well, and for
a long time.
2. CROSSDOS, from Consultron, costs about $20 mailorder. It has a device
driver for MS-DOS disks and lets you use your drive interchangeably as an
MS-DOS disk or an AmigaDOS disk, depending on the name you use for the
drive. (This is my own favorite.)
3. MSDOS.LZH from Library 14 works much the same as CrossDOS, is a
shareware program, and was recently updated.
I think you'd be happy with most any of these.
