John, A footnote: Because Winchesters can be partitioned into more than one "virtual" drives, pressing W ordinarily gives you a second menu asking which virtual drive to boot from, as in E, F or G. The utility that you used to partition the disk should have an option to let you select an autoboot drive. This will let you, say, select E as the partition to boot from, avoiding the second menu. — Carl
