With the Super DJC2 driver, I'm like you and have found settings that
work, and don't do to much of the fancy things that the driver is capable
of. I finally got FW, which looks like it's going to replace ProWrite as
my WP. Now I've just got to rewrite all my macros and AREXX stuff to talk
to FW.
PPage4.0 does indeed crash quite well. But it gives me the ability to do
things that no other program I have can do. So…..

I'm so PO'd with Gold Disk products that I could spit! I was using
PDraw last night to create a logo. Now, I can load the object into
PDraw, but the program crashes the first time I modify it in the
least. I'm real close to just moving over to the Mac for all this
DTP stuff. Grrrrrr . Erik Flom

BTW, do you have GoldDisk's number? I have an OLD copy of ComicSetter
which, when I recently tried to use it, found that it only supports a
2 X 2 (inch) page when using the WB LaserJet2 driver…. My manual
has a number no longer in service, and I haven't bought anything more
recent from them…
Yea, I made a big mistake with Gold Disk. I waited for version 4.0
before I bought PPage4.0 and PDraw3.0 in their 'bundle'. It was a
nice price for a couple of good programs. They have been around
Amiga's for a looooong time, but apparently, have decided to pursue
greener pastures. Any-way, my initial 'good price' for these programs
is going to be for bust, if there isn't any support for them.
As far as MAC's – I have one at work, but it is hooked up to a video
printer, not a real printer, and worse – not networked. (But that
awesome 2 page monitor is something!). Looks like I'm stuck on my
Amiga at home or a DOS 486/386 at work. (At least the DOS stuff is
networked. My Amiga is via the tennis shoe LAN).
Irregardless of what I just said. I like PDraw and PPage. I just wish
I could think that there will be upgrades and enhancements in the
future. As well as some Tech. Support.

At least you only bought into GoldDisk recently. (My 'upgrade' price of
$75 is probably close to what you paid as a new owner.)
ProPage 4.1 is _so_ much buggier than 3.0, but it offers so many nice
features that I'm loathe to give it up. (Doing stuff on the Mac/Emplant
and/or PC may look better, but moving data back & forth is a hassle.)
