HELLO Thanks for the info, we appreciate it. We were wondering if there is a way to trace a bus hang on a pdp. We tried the "remove a card and try it " method and also tried to use a "minimal system" as described in the minimal documention we had, but still had the same? problem. We are still looking for a reference similar to the "PDP periperals handbook" which has all of the PDP cards and what they do in it. (Our book was copyrighted in 1978). Once again, thanks for the information on the DMP-11.

What kind of bus hang problem do you have???? Typically bus hangs cannot be traced. You might try monitoring the five volt supply for stability. I had a system that contained SimPac ICP 1600 boards that were power hogs. The older systems with this unit always hung and had to be rebooted. We found that the power dropped to 3.25 volts for a split second and then the bus hung. Replacing the power supply fixed it….weak regulator.
