Steve, I think that pulling up a file requester could be ahieved in AV quite nicely using at most a call to ARexx. I also think that AV is _not_ just a presentation and video tool, but that it is also a powerful application generator. No, it's not going to compete with C, not even compiled basic as far as speed goes, but it is going to allow users to program applications that they might never consider doing in BASIC or C. AV's dbase compatible database engine and ARexx interface are just two of it's features that allow real, applications to be developed. I take it that this message is off the thread were I replied to Betty's message about BASIC being an easy way to do such-and-such applications. I still believe that AmigaVision can and will do all of those applications and that the average user will be able to do them a heck of a lot easier in AmigaVision as opposed to BASIC or C. I'm leaving a hot one here… but I I'm going to a hotter place yet; Florida, for a week. 🙂 I'll be back… -John
