Bill: Hey, I'm on my fourth. Two 1000s, one 2000 and now a 2500. NOT ONE worked successfully out of the box. When you get an Amiga, be prepared to hold your breath for awhile. 😎 Seriously, the next one I purchase will be a *used* one. Regards Tom

Tom: OTOH — I bought a 2000 in Nov. '87, added ram, a CBM 68020/20 with 2 megs 32 bit, an ASDG dual serial card, a second floppy, AMAX, MIDI capabilities, 2400 baud modem, GVP 40 meg Quantum hardcard — the ONLY problem I've had is when I was indeed hit by lightning. Screwed up the main serial port. At work I have a 2500/30 w/ 4 meg 32 bit, super agnus, AT Bridge, an NI5010 Ethernet board on the MSDOS side, and a 105 meg Quantum driven by a CBM SCSI host adapter. No problems of any kind. ?|^] Ray Lewis

Hey Ray, My 3000 has been great. I have had only a few software problems, nut (oops) but that was it. You were right about the speed. Moving from 68000 to 68030 is a huge change! I really love it 🙂 I sold my 2000 the other day. I keep a 500 and a 1084 for games and so on. Just wanted to say HELLO Thanks! Jamie

Jamie: I'm jealous of your 3000! Oh well, maybe after the first of the year, we'll be able to get one on my wife's educational discount qualifications. ?|^] Ray Lewis

Well Thanks Ray. You will LOVE it when you get it. I was jealous of the 2, 3, 4? Amigas you have 🙂 The 2.0 OS is really nice. I can't wait for the final release. Talk to you later, Jamie
