Kelly,
(Tom) Before you buy that Fujitsu 128mb MO drive you should go and ask in
the PACAVEN forum's Fujitsu Peripherals section about whats on their
horizon. 🙂

Laurie, why not just cross post what you are hearing from over there??
There are others here who would be interested to hear may be available.
Are they going to release a 256MB MO drive? I noticed one advertised by
another manufacturer in the Jan issue of AmigaWorld, but no printed price.
Haven't noticed any 256MB MO in the Dec issue of Computer Shopper.

Yes, but who will gone use those 256MO drives… the 128MB and 650MB Iso
drives are well known and you'll be surprised how many people allready
have one of those… 256MByte is surely not something that new in a
technical sense to start support a 3th standard…
I personaly now a lot of users in my area having 650MByte and 128MB MO
drives and it's a real joy copying stuff (wanna have fish 1-940… 30
Minutes and the're your's… SIGGraph Proceedings, ftp stuff… I allready
got 4G of nice stuff). With 256MB MO drives this is surely not that easy
to get…

I understand real good what you mean about the 256MB MO not being an Iso
standard, Wolf.
Right now, my best bet is the 128MB MO. Sure, a 650MB unit would be nice,
but getting too expensive for me.

"cross posting" ok, I will relay any info I can get. Their "Tech"
bloke advised that he cant release any info yet on the new MO drives
other than to say that they will be downward compatible with the
128Mb MO disks. BTW they are running a contest with (I think) a 1Gb
drive as first prize, for solutions to getting their MO drive to work
on various plat forms.
