Please let me know. I am interested in the sources and the math
calculation for a science fair project. If you write these or know a great
deal out file compression/decompression Please let me know.
I cannot claim to be an expert on file compression and the associated
algorithms, but I do know where you can find good articles on the subject.
The Communications of the Association for Computing Machinery is a
professional journal devoted to issues in Computer Science and has been
published for at least the last 30 years. In there you will find articles
and some source listings on nearly every important algorithm ever devised.
To take advantage, just go to the local library and ask the librarian to
help you search the periodicals by topic using keywords like compression,
and huffman encoding. Hope you find the people you are looking for…
