Help! I need a driver for a Panasonic KX-P1124 printer. It is compatiable
with the EpsonQ driver, but when used with ProWrite 3.0 it gives only a
360×180 dpi. The Panasonic is capable of 360×360. I would like to use the
higher res if possible. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Paul, You can try the NEC pinwriter Driver. It's located on your Extras
diskette. I should give you some additional densities.

What you need is the Epson LQ2500 driver. You can find it over in
Amigaarts, in the printer driver section (not sure which one)

Slip of the finger, Branden – the printer drivers are in AmigaTech. But
there IS a driver for the LQ2500 over there – pretty new. Probably still
in library 1, as well as in the Printer Driver lib.

Once again, I typed before I thought. Thanks for correcting me.
I have a Panasonic KX-P1124 and use the LQ2500 driver and it works
great.
I have also figured out how to get laser quality output from it.
If you use Gprint and print your 1 bit plane image in Ultra-resolution (one
printerdot for every screen dot), the output is almost 100% free of
jaggies. The only problem is that a full screen only fills up the top
quarter of the page. With enough memory, and the software to create a
superbitmap, you could print an entire page in ultra-resolution.
