I am trying to get my amiga to drive an Inagewriter II printer. I have installed the ImagewriterII driver from the Extras disk (Wor workbench 1.3) I bought an apple cable for an Apple IIe to ImagewriterII. That cable is male at one end so I got a gender-bender to plug it into the back of the amiga I still can't get it to work. I was hoping someone may have done this before, and you could help me figure out how to get this going….. Thank you for your help…. David Koch 71210,2202

David, This may be silly, but have you selected the proper baud rate in preferences for the serial port, and selected SERIAL as the interface in your printer preferences? Don

Don, Thank you for your reply. I dont have any idea what the baud rate for this printer is. I did set it up through the serial and not the parrellel (sp) port. I found out that Redman Cable in Seattle makes the cable I need. They make special cables for a variety of situations. If you ever need them, thier Number is (206) 882-2009. I hope this solves my problem. Dave KOch 71210,2202

Dave, If you don't set the serial rate correctly…nothing will help. Find a manual, or go to an Apple dealer's and find out what baud rate the printer runs at….or how to set it to a specific rate. Then set your serial preferences for the same rate. Don
