This is a wonderful utility! Under 1.3 on my A3000, I can again play
Emerald Mines- my favorite game and the only one which would not run on my
3000. I disabled the caches using 'bootblock' in the utility, and the game
runs perfectly. The .doc with the utility is also easy to follow. Thanks
to Nico Francois.
It allowed me to play Pinball Simulator under 1.3 and the install option.
This was the one game I was holding on to my A500 for. Goodby 500.
PS. How were you honored with that wonderful name?

Pinball Simulator? I don't think I've ever heard of that. Is it public
domain or commercial?

It's commercial and it's full name is "Quicksilver Pinball Simulator".
My disk is copyrighted 1990 by Actionworks Software, Inc. I bought my copy
from Software Hut in Philadelphia. It's sharp. It has 4 different boards
and has very real pinball sounds, probably samples. The boards are full
width and jump between top and bottom views depending on where the ball is
at the time. All the boards have upper and lower flippers which are
controlled by the shift keys. It supports competitive play.

I'll have to track that down. The only pinball program I've see is "Power
Pinball". I bought it at AmiExpo. Not too exciting. I'll keep an eye out
for Quicksilver. Thanks for the tip!
