Betty, Thanks for your help. I am the road now and all I need is a little disk space to put all the files I want to download. I am having trouble getting my files to download. I am using MindLink from Centaur Software. I've tried each protocal but it will not download the first sector. I can't get all the settings correct. Any suggestions? Robert 70670,231

I'm not familiar with your software at all. However, if it supports any of the B protocols, you need to set it for those. Also, make your serial settings for 8 bits, No parity, 1 stop bit. That is usually abbreviated to 8-N-1. As for protocols, I think first choice should be any of the B protocols, then YModem, then Kermit, and last, XModem. Whichever is available in your terminal program, set it before you start. Then, when you are ready to download, and are at the Disposition! prompt, type: DOWNLOAD PROTOCOL:xxxxxx (whichever one you have.) CompuServe will then ask for a name for your computer to use, and you will reply with thepath and file name, such as DF1:NEWFILE.LZH That ought to do it. Betty
