the atonce ver 1.28 software is great!! It cures a lot of ills and makes
at-once usable!! Has anyone been able to get the advertised norton rating
of 6.1? I can only get 2.9 but when using the pd program atspeed i get a
result equal to 8 mhz. The norton im using is ver. 5 I am happy allround
and hope you will try this update if you have at-once
Do you have an A500 or A2000? I have heard good things about ATonce w/
the A500 but have not heard of anyone using it w/ the A2000. I have an
A2000 and am still trying to get it working. I have the 1.28 update. Are
you using the Gary adapter?

I am using a 500 with the revision 6A motherboard and am using gary module
I have the ATonce installes in a 2000. You do not need to use the GARY
adapter. there is a jumper near the GARY chip which must be removed, and a
three wire LONG jumper that goes between the ATonce adapter card and a
MOLEX connector near the original 68000 cpu. I cannot get more than 2.9 on
a norton SI rating. I have yet to contact VORTEX about this, but plan to
mail them on Cserve ASAP.
Any questions about its compatiliby with GVP 68030 boards, SupraRAM, etc.,
can be drirected to me.

You got the ATonce to work with a GVP 030 board? Do you have to boot into
68000 mode to use it, or does it work under 030 mode? I've got one sitting
here, with the A2000 adaptor, but since i'm evaluating a GVP 030 card I
hadn't tried it yet. I'd rather run blazingly fast Amiga software than
MS-DOS stuff any day. 😉

Can you give some more information on your 2000? Do you have a hard
drive? Extra memory? Flixer Fixer? I have been trying to get the ATonce
card to work in my 2000, but have had no luck. When I remove the GARY
jumper and try to boot the ATonce the machine Gurus. With the jumper in
place it tries to boot but locks up while the ATonce is doing its memory
check. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I sent Vortex e-mail about
my problem 2 weeks ago but have not heard back.

Try another slot. The ATonce is very sensitive to its environment, and
it's very hard to install it on a 2000 that isn't new and pristine. Just
keep reseating it–you'll probably get it to work eventually.
