QB SCSI problems

CCS-
Can you help me with a problem I'm having with Quarterback? I have an
Amiga 3000, with two partitions on the internal drive, and an external
tower with a 40meg SyQuest, and an Archive Viper 150 tape drive. I also
have a NEC CD-ROM attatched to the tower.
It seems when I try to do a backup of a SyQuest cartridge, the
verification always fails due to "unreadable" files, and files with
"different contents". I have done complete backups of my SyQuest
cartridges before, with no problem. My previous backups were done before
I had the CD-ROM, so I removed it and returned the hardware to the way it
was last time I backed up. The problem still persists. The only other
thing I can think of is that there has been one or two revisions to
Quarterback (I'm using version 5.0.4) since my previous backups.
I am able to backup to a file on the RAM disk, but not to the tape
drive. Backing up either of my internal partitions is no problem. I am
now using a 3M tape, since the Sony tapes I used before are no longer
available. I've ruled out tape defects since I took the first tape back
(thinking it was bad), and have had Syquest backups fail where I had a
backup of my internal partition succeed.
Any info you may have would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!!!!
