I am running SBP4 on a stock Amiga 3000/25/100. It was installed in its own partition using the hd install program supplied. Version is 1.0 A/O 4/5/91. The problem I'm having is with the form designer. If I try to create a form MOST of the time it will save correctly, but if I then try to modify the form again whenever I save it all command strings are cleared. It doesn't seem to matter whether I close the form or not, whether I try to modify it from SPB4 or SBFD4. It also makes no difference whether I "save" it or use "save as" with either the same or a different name most of the time, although save as with a new name SOMETIMES works. I even made sure that there was no command listed as first in the data entry order, so that the problem wasn't trying to auto execute a nonexistant DML program, but that didn't help either. The only consistant thing about the whole problem seems to be that using a "BLANK" or "CLS" command guarrrantees that the command strings will be lost when the form is modified, but not neccessarily when the form is first saved. Am I doing something else wrong ? By the way I even tried Amiga-z(status) to make sure the command strings are there before I save the form, and they are listed. Closing and re-openning the partition doesn't help either, I haven't yet been able to consistently save forms with command strings intact. By the way the command names and buttons are still there, just the strings disappear ?????? As I am new to SBP4 and am just experimenting with it. This makes learning to use it very difficult.
