Having just received our Toaster 3.1 upgrade, the tv station where I work is now upgrading their A2000 to Dos 2.1. The manual cautions against using mouse accelerators and screen blankers with the Toaster, but I was wondering if anyone had run into problems using the Toaster with NickPrefs (available in AmigaArts) installed? -Pat "Cruising the North Coast on Autopilot"

The Toaster is very picky about any kind of WB Utility. The only thing you can do is try it out…

Spounds like the prudent thing to do, though I thought I'd drop a line and see if anyone online would like to share their experiences. -Pat "Cruising the North Coast on Autopilot"

I do recall some problems with nickprefs… I think it was just having the snoozy pointer come up and stay up at odd times in paint. The main thing to avoid in your typical screen blank utility (not nickprefs) is one that turns off the mouse pointer. This'll kill a toaster signal quick. I think 2.1 already has the coolest features of nickprefs anyway (sound, picture/pattern backdrops)

I have no trouble using a mouse accelerator and a screen blanker with the Toaster. I've done this since the day Toaster came out, no promblemo. –Paul < Motorola Inside >

WEll, I'm planning on taking it easy when it comes to the toys–after all, it is part of a commercial operation, but I do plan to use our logo as the picture in NickPrefs. -Pat "Cruising the North Coast on Autopilot"
