#QuarterBack Tools: YEA!

I just want to pop in and say that Quarterback Tools is the greatest. It
just saved my hiney big time when I messed up my Hard Drives with some
silly tinkering.
If there's anyone out there who doesn't do backups as often as they
should, or at all, QB Tools is a really good insurance policy.

I am using quqrterback 4.0 and have had problems restoring files. The
transfer hard drive to floppy goes well but about half the time floppy to
hard drive gives message of "read error". Some of the files involved where
WB 1.3 to WB 2.04 (during my conversion). I am using GVP Combo card. Do you
know if this a known problem with 4.0 that has been fixed? Thanks for any
advice you can give.

Michael was touting (rightfully so) QBTOOLS, not QB. I personally use
Moonlighter's AmiBack 2.0 to do my backups to tape, and I love it. AmiBack
2.0 now includes a utility called 911-rescue, which, likle QBTools, can
help starighten out a munged up hard drive.

I think we're talking two different software packages made by the same
company. The QB Tools I'm using is a HD management package that undeletes
files, compresses your disk, and searches for bad blocks. You've got the
Backup program apparently. Afraid I can't help you, but I have seen
messages previously that told of some problems. Hopefully someone else (or
the company itself) can help you.
Just out of the blue, if there is a verification option available during
the backup, I would use it.

The current version of Quarterback is 5.02. If you're using 4.0 with
AmigaDOS 2.04, you definitely need the current version of QB. Hope this
