I've upgraded to ProPage 3 during the last 3 months and wondered if there is a special upgrade price for ProDraw 3. I've never had ProDraw but need it now for drawing logos etc. Pete from West Dorset in Englands West Country – via Whap!

Pete, You can `upgrade' to Pdraw for $99 ($us) because you own PPage. In the WP/DTP library section, there is a file on the PDRAW upgrade. This should explain more. Philip Laitar Supervisor

Many thanks Philip, I'll go and have a look. By the way, the word over here is that none of the dealers have ProDraw3 yet. Presumably if I order direct from you I can get it by return of post. Pete from West Dorset in Englands West Country – via Whap!

Pete I received my PDraw 3 (direct from G-D) at the end of last week (I registered with them directly in my Transactor days) But, as you say, it seems like none of the dealers here yet have it. I wonder if G-D is trying to fulfill back orders on upgrades first. My first impression of PDraw 3 is that it's pretty good but I still _HATE_ the way that _it_ decides where it's going to put things that I'd rather keep separated <sigh> … but I guess that's an argument I don't think I'll ever win since it's clear that the programmers have very fixed ideas on how I should run my system. PDraw has Genies like PPage3, although there are some minor differences in the way they're handled, and the documentation on the supplied Genies is rather poor (although some of the Genies are fascinating!). The ability to use CGfonts directly is a godsend (there's no need to duplicate all your fonts just for the sake of using PDraw) … and there's a lot of other neat stuff in there too. Well worth getting. Mike (from the UK)

Hi Mike, Amazing isn't it. I email you on Cix and get an answer via Cis. Oh well… Anyway, thanks for the comments. I'll order ProDraw 3 from G-D direct and save some money. Pete from West Dorset in Englands West Country – via Whap!
