I have three Sanyo GVR-S950 frame accurate VTRs. I like the units, but I do
have some problems. The ROMs shipped in my units require upgrades for software
compatibility with my A/B editing system (TAO Editizer). There are no other
A/B roll editing systems currently supporting the 950 (That I know of). The
decks seems 100% accurate so far, and they make recording animations to tape a
breeze. If/when Sanyo finally resolves the incompatibility problem, and they
swear they will, I don't think you'll find more bang for the buck in the frame
accuarate S-VHS market.

I haven't called RGB yet for information on using Amilink with the Sanyo
units. In terms of affordable single-frame accuracy, though, it sound like
they're the only show in town.
