Hi, I purchased the AROCK set of masterpiece fonts for Lightwave. I understand that as bitmapped fonts they can also be used in DPAINTIV. I copied a font drawer off the AROCK floppy to my FONTS: subdirectory and ran FIXFONTS (per the manual), but DPAINTIV wouldn't recognize them. Any tips would be appreciated. (I'm running WB2.0 on an A-2000.) Thanks, John

The Arock Masterpiece Lightwave fonts are not bitmaps. They are Lightwave objects that are in 2d (planar). If you wish to use them for some other purpose I guess you could render them and make brushes then convert the brushes but that's a lot of trouble. By the way, these fonts are 2d to save space. Simply extrude them as you wish for 3d use. Jim Roof

Thanks for the reply, Jim. I've done what you're suggesting a couple of times, and you're right . . . it's a chore. The only reason I thought of DPIV, was that it was mentioned in an instructional video on LW3D I was watching. The video recommended the purchase of the AROCK fonts for use in LW. As an aside, the narrator said they could also be used in DPIV, loaded in as fonts (vice bringing them in as a brush and stamping them). Well, I had bought them before I saw the video anyway, so I can't get too upset. Appreciate the insight. John
