#Outline fonts
3 messages in this thread
Using OS 2.04 there are scalable compugraphic fonts. ProPage also uses
scalable fonts also. Can someone please tell me the difference. Are these
fonts interchangable? With the fountain program supplied with WorkBench I
have created from Propage fonts into the systems fonts. Now Agfa
Intellifonts have come out with a selection of 250 different typefaces in
all, Gold disk also release typefaces which they have a license form Agfa.
Then it is possible to create these fonts for Propage and Prodraw?
After all this I would like to know if propage can use the system scalable
fonts instead of it own cgfonts. because to me it seem pointless having two
identical outline fonts in different directories. Specially on a Harddrive.
I hope some can answer me

To the best of my knowledge, the outline fonts used with the System,
ProPage and ProDraw are one inthe same: AGFA Compugraphic and are
interchangable. ProDraw 3.0 comes with a utility to translate Adobe Type 1
PS fonts into Compugraphic fonts, which is a nice help. I haven't used any
of the System fonts with PDraw yet, but if I remember right, the manual
specifically stated that you could.

John,
I noticed your message on CIS…think I may have "spoken" to you over CIS
a couple of months ago.
Are you connecting via Falnet in Sydney or direct…..ie toll call to
the USA..?? Why do I ask? Well Whap does'nt work as far as I know over
Falnet while Steve's new programme called AutoPilot DOES!!!
Autopilot is still in Beta testing but is the way to go, Steve may be
interested in a tester from the top end of Aussie.
Also If you dont know already Dale Cohen of CIS Pacific in Sydney is
testing AP…you could contact him on 008-023 158 8am-6pm Aust Eastern
Time
BTW if you are using ProPage you can contact Philip Laitar in the DTP
area. He is one or the Rep's from Gold Disk and is very helpfull. I
organised my PPage 3 upgrade with him (VIA Fedex)
Hope this helps
