#Decoding .LHA files
5 messages in this thread
Help wanted please!
How do you decode .LHA files? I can cope with ARC, LZH, ZOO and BOO, but
this one has me beaten! Could somebody tell me where I can find a program
to decrunch LHA? I'd be very grateful, as I can't find any info on
CompuServe that help me. Thanks in anticipation, Don.
Don,
You need the program "LHA" to un-archive the .LHA programs. In Library
16 of the AmigaUser forum (GO AMIGAUSER), you will find the file
"LHA132.RUN", which is a self-extracting archive containing the program
and docs for lha. It basically works the same way as the older lharc
program, but works with the newer .LHA files, which offer significantly
better compression than the .LZH files.
Hope this helps….

Don,
There is a file on PRACTICE FORUM that would have helped, but I'll tell
you here, so you won't have to run over there and look for it.
Look in Library 16 of AmigaUser for LHA132.RUN. This is a self-extracting
archive that will unpack itself when you run it. Use it much as you would
use the others: Make a directory for it, CD to that directory, then RUN
PATH:LHA132.RUN to unpack it. The switches and such are the same as for
LZH.
If you need more help, please let us know.

If you have LZ to de-compress your LZH files, it will work with LHA as
well. Otherwise, the other answers I read will also work.
