I bought my 4000/40 based on the same promise (30fps at any resolution).
Two months ago I bought a PAR and a TBC IV and couldn't be happier. I've
used the setup with Imagine. It is also a great framestore.

Yeah, but if I had known about the 4000's lack of 30fps capability and
the coming of PAR I would have NOT bought it, and have been able to afford
PAR and an accelerated 3000T! 🙁
But I'm saving toward the next system investment – so we'll see. 🙂
