AA updates

I was one of the original purchasers of AA (v1.0), and continue to appreciate its many fine features. Has there ever been any form of upgrade to AA? More typefaces? As attractive as AAPro is, in some cases its hardware requirements are inappropriate. Except for notices of the clipart libraries and the AAPro update, I've never heard from AutoDesk since. I see that the old AA is now sold as part of the "Multimedia Explorer" package, with a street price of just over $100. Are the MME sample animations professional sequences suitable for business presentations, or just "demos" of varying quality? Is there any way for those of us (who paid hundreds of dollars more for AA alone) to get just the MME samples?

Karl, the Autodesk Animator is essentially unchanged since it was first released. The Animator is now the Explorer~. The animations on the CD amount to approximately 90 minutes continuous playing time of all sorts of animations, some of polished quality, and some otherwise, but all entertaining; there's no "garbage" animation on it. The package also includes the animation clip art and the Animation Player for Windows. The retail price of the Explorer is $199. Since you are an owner of the original Animator, I believe that if you call customer service they can offer you a special deal for the Explorer. Call them at 707-794-1450. Have your serial number ready.
