In June, I believe you mentioned a company named JDR Microsystems for a
buffered monitor switchbox for use with the BB. I couldn't see them
advertised in the back of AmigaWorld, can you provide either the phone
number or a city/state so I can locate them?
If you (or anyone else reading this) knows of any other sources for the
above, I'd appreciate it.

They are not an Amiga supplier. They regularly advertise in Computer
Shopper. Their order number is 800-538-5000. The product code is RSK15-2WA
and is priced at $34.95. They also have the extension cables. The VGA
extension cable is CBL-HDB15-MM ($7.95) and if you need the cable with the DB09
for a VGA card that one is CBL-VGA ($7.95).

Can you explain to me what a "buffered" monitor switchbox is. I've got a
plain old switch box (my second, my first wore out in a week). Depending
on how I turn the manual switch I get somewhat of a brief "light show" of
various colored screens and sometimes I get a double-take (the image
appears very briefly then the screen goes black and then the image
reappears). Each time I switch I worry that I am causing harm to my
monitor. Does a "buffered" monitor switchbox solve these problems?

I'll try to answer your question, but others here may be able to provide a
more technical answer. In ordering the box from JDR, they explained that
they had a less expensive model but said this one had circuitry in it to
provide a smoother switch between displays. It apparently also switches
keyboards (I can tell you after I receive the package).
I would expect this would solve the type of problems you describe. It's
not clear to me if the difference is cosmetic or critical to avoid damage
to your equipment. (Anyone else can jump in right here…)
