Ed, IPAS (Image processing, Procedural modeling, Animated stand-ins, and Solid
Patterns) IPAS routines are external programs that allow 3D Studio to be
expanded via other developers. Using IPAS routines one has access to such
things as fractal terrain and plant life generators, particle systems such as
rain, snow, and fireworks, and many others. Also, with the advent of Release 3
there will be even more IPAS routines available. You can get info on and
