I installed MultiMedia Explorer. During installation it asks if I have VGA.
Since I have SVGA, I said no. At that point, the beatifully shaded screen
changed to a dithered screen and the text became harder to read. It occured to
me I might have given it the wrong answer. I tried to reinstall, but the s
screen did not improve when I answered 'yes'. I am now having problems with
Windows reverting to 16 colors after running Animation Player, as well as at
other odd times. Please tell me what happens at that point in the installation
so that I can undo it. Thanks.

When you re-installed, did you delete the file aa.cfg that was created the
first time? That is the file which contains the video configuration.
