Alan, I've just finished to read the PowerPC issue of BYTE (it seems like BYTE is the official Motorolla/IBM/Apple while PC Magazine is under Intel/Microsoft control -just speculating 🙂 I've to retract some of my words regarding this chip. They said that the MPC601, which is aimed to "lowend workstation" at half the price of the Pentium, less powerhungry, is far beyond in power that the latest intel child. This chip looks really good. Now only we have to wait and see the real machines. AXPs, Pentiums, MPCs…Things are moving really fast there. Mmmmh…Hey Greg! Are you there. probably we will have "that" multicolored fruit logo in our machines soon (oh no! <g>) -I only can say one thing, Apple computers have the best stetic in the industry, probably only Sun and SGI have machines as well designed as the "appletons". Never said never again (my first computer was an AppleII!!!) <g> Ana ps.To be true, PCs are good, but learning things from mac world could make them awesome. Look Windows… geee, I hate it.

However, new announcements are reviving that feelings. As I have said before, I'm sure that my next computer will be an Apple 🙂 Ana
