Perhaps I am a bit premature in bringing this up, but I have been trying to use
Visual Basic in NT. I haven't seen any other messages here regarding VB in NT
and wonder if there are any other known problems. I have tried using the
winapi in an attempt to read the win.ini file (GetProfileString), and all that
is returned is an empty string. I suspect that this will require a different
vbrun***.dll.
My questions:
1. Is there someway to currently access the win.ini file from visual
basic running under NT?
2. If not, will a modified vbrun***.dll (or for that matter Visual
Basic product) be released specifically for NT?
3. What other problems might be expected from VB running under NT?
