to all, I have a year old amiga 3,000 that I use with a Sony Trinitron monitor (CPD-1320). For thelast couple of weeks, I have noticed theselittle white dots that appear in variousplaces on my screen. These dots have appeared with increasing frequency thelast few days. Also, the screen jumps periodically (often during a cuts and [D paste operation.), and when I load a new program, there appear to be sparkles on the screen that disappear after a few seconds. I don't have a second monitor, so I can't test it that way. Does anybody have any ideas as to what might be the problem? Jeff Kisseloff 70253, 1344

I'm 99% sure (as sure as I'll ever be without seeing it myself) that your problem is not the monitor, but your built-in display enhancer. That's the same kind of distortion you get when the display enhancer isn't well tuned. I'm not actually sure how to get in and tune the 3000 display eenhancer, since mine always worked fine once it had warmed up, but I recently purchased the A2320 display enhancer (essentially the same thing that's built into the 3000 except on a card) and until I got it tuned correctly, I had the same symptoms you did. Also, they sometimes come out of tune, so I'll bet you can take it to a knowledgeable dealer or do it yourself, and have the system back up in no time. Rusty Williams A4000 owner and Exedrin User
