#Controlling mesh from VP

Any ideas??? Can anyone tell me if it's possible to control a mesh from Video Post? I have a series of tga files queued in VP which when run show a flight path through a countryside. These files were created with VistaPro. VistaPro creates a script file which contains all the rotation, banking etc that the camera does through the animation. I would like to apply this motion to an aircraft created in 3D Studio. How can I do it? I previously did it by writing down all the rotation values from the script file and manually rotating the object in 3ds. This takes ages on my projects which are 1000's of frames! What I would like to do is load the .tga in VP, then have an IPAS routine which reads the appropriate frame in the script file & applies that movement to the mesh (i.e physically moves it) and then have an entry which renders the aircraft in its new position. Would it be possible using a PXP? Is there some way of getting 3ds to "shell out" from VP, run a PXP which changes the objects orientation and then render the new position? Is an IPAS routine the way to go? Or Should I look down another road? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Andy Roberts

Hiya Andy… I answered this same question from you in an earlier email in Section 1. It's in here somewhere. – G
