I'd never heard the "copyright laws" argument before. The laws here in the
Netherlands can't be all that different, and are perhaps even a bit tougher
than in the States. And since AutoDesk has an official office here (AutoDesk
Nederland B.V.), they should be able to enforce copyright laws.
We're also a software house, but we don't use copy protection. We're able to
prosecute our liscence violations. We don't usually send the swat team, but
work through judicial servers (like the guys that would serve a warrant), and
rarely have to take anyone to court.
