Hi I'm planning on buying an accelerator card of some sort. I've been
considering the GVP 030/40/4 card. This card as I understand has a SCSI
interface. Is this to say that it will not work with my A2000HD Rodime hard
drive. I'm pretty sure that I do not have the SCSI interface. If it will not
work, is there another accelerator I should consider purchasing? Is the GVP
030/40 a reasonable accelerator to purchase ? What about Vector ? CSA ? etc.?

What type of controller do you have in your A2000? Only the very early ones
used anything but a SCSI card so far as I know. The early non-SCSI card was the
2090. It actually was able to do SCSI but was typically connected to a ST-506
HD which is not SCSI and is now pretty old/slow technology.

I have the Vector and can highly recommend it. However, if you already
have a controller, you may want to consider one of the '040 accelerators
which aren't that much more than the Vector or GVP 030/40/4 but don't
include the controller.
