I loaded Animator on a laptop to take with me on vacation. The laptop is
capable of 640×480 resolution, but I can't seem to figure out anyway to make it
happen. It doesn't come with any VESA drivers and the ones supplied on the 1.3
kit all hang the system or give me an error that the "BIOS refused to set such
and such."

I recently installed AniPro on a Toshiba laptop for a customer; we
discovered it had a Western Digital, (Paradise), chipset, so we were
able to use that driver. ' Sounds like it didn't work for you,
though. I believe VESA32.ZIP was just posted to the libraries here.
This contains a vesa driver called UNIVESA that works for most common
chipsets available today. Give it a whirl.
