I just bought AutoDesk Animator 1.3. Whenever I try and run ANICONV
from DOS, I get an 'Abnormal Program Termination' error. If I try
and run it from a DOS promt under Windows, it starts up, my I can't
move the cursor with the mouse. Anybody got any ideas as to what's
going on? I have a 386/40 woth co-proc, 8 megs of RAM, and QEMM.
Here is my CONFIG.SYS:
rem config08.sys DEVICE=C:\QEMM386.SYS RAM EXCLUDE=B000-B7FF DMA=32
shell=c:\ndos.com @c:\nu\ndos.ini /p device=c:\loadhi.sys \sstordrv.sys
/noauto=a: /noauto=b: device=\devswap.com device=c:\dos\setver.exe rem
device=c:\loadhi.sys C:\WINDOWS\RAMDRIVE.SYS 2048 /e rem device=c:\loadhi.sys
c:\dos\smartdrv.sys 2048 DOS=HIGH,UMB files=35 buffers=30 STACKS=9,256
Thanks, Ellison
Ellison,
the combination of smartdrive and ramdrive looks troublesome. You may
not have enough RAM left after loading those two. I suggest trying a
simple config.sys:
files=35
buffers=30
Or at least the minimum you can get by with and an autoexec.bat with just your
mouse. Then try running animator pro. Alternatively, for a quick test try
putting a REM in front of your Ramdrive line.
Let us know what happens.
