I've posted this question several times on cserve and never got a really good answer, so I figured I'd go to the source. We here in Toronto are having a lot of fun with the morphing options available in 3dsr2. What we would really like to be able to do is to extract a DXF from an intermediate frame of a morph. The geometry is really there….this we know….. it's just how to get at it. The reason for wanting this intermediate geometry is so you could have more control over the way a morph proceeds. Any chance that there will be a "button" available in v3? Any other suggestions as to how to proceed?

No problem. R3 has a new option in the Keyframer called Snapshot. It builds new master geometry from anything in the keyframer.

Well, I doubt there's a way in Release 2 but in Release 3 there's a new function in the KeyFramer called "Snapshot" which will make an instance of an object in any key-framed position (including morph) and put it in the 3D Editor.
