hi there. dose anyone know how to create a realistic backlit stained glass look in 3ds. i am working on a project which calls for this. what i have is an artists b&w scketch of the pattern. i need to colorize it and give it the stained glass (backlit)look. the final rendering is going to be printed on a product. aprox size of final print is 3ft x 1ft. please drop me a note if you have any ideas.

Ara You could try making the material for the stained glass self illuminating and then adjust the transparency to change "brightness". Just a thought. TedB

Ara, If your final output is just a still, Fractal Design Painter has some wonderful tools that can be applied to parts of a rendered 3DS image which will simulate stained glass nicely. David
