Dennis,
your comments on shared stations are well received here. A person can't develop
a good smoking habit if they must shre the ware with their buddy. Try telling
and old time typing teacher to have students share machines (whew).
30 student must really keep you hopping, what brand of roller blades do you
use? <g> I personally feel that 30 is to large a class for only one
instructional leader.

Just a pair of standard Blade Runners. I do find a full class to be slightly
overwhelming at times, but there are those students in class that can be relied
upon to provide the necessary assist when the instructor is working with a
student up against a block as opposed to one who merely needs the gentle nudge
to get back on track. I am a very hyperactive individual and can adjust to the
needs of those students that I detect need additional explaination or example
to understand a concept. Even students without a drafting background get up to
speed within the first three weeks. This work is so tactile that the concepts
are easier to teach than attempting to teach someone a new language, which is
exactly the analogy that I use when attempting to ease the jitters of having to
deal with a new interface. Drafting on a CAD station really is working in a
virtual world to some students.
