>> I can understand things that break when versions change, but what about other forms of bugs? I've made too much money as a consultant, hired to fix and work-around "unrepairable" bugs in import/export code like this, that I'm not confident in anyone's libraries except my own. 🙂 << The reality is that the DWG format is quite complex and contains many idosycracies I wouldnt wish on anyone. (How'd I get into this business anyway!<G>) There is a reason why companies have been able to make a business out of supporting the dwg file– it's a lot of work and there's always "one more problem" to fix. Why start all over and do it yourself? If you're lucky, you will end up supporting just the limited test cases you can come up with, whereas Sirlin has hundreds of users, and thousands of drawings using their code. By the way, do you write your own floating point math libraries too since you wont trust anyone elses?<G> –Jonathan.
