John, I got an updated version of vgashow from the videotex BBS and it now
works. The problem was not the Hercules VESA. Also, it turns out I need the
newest BIOS chip, v1.15 (my current one is 1.11) before I can install v2.10 of
their VESA drivers frp, -whoops – from their BBS. Or can I install the sw and
put the chips in when they arrive? Thanks again.
