All When replaying a FLI the file runs off of the hard drive. The size of the file is 2meg and I have 16meg of ram. I made a Ramdrive and put the file there and it played fine, no hard drive access. Is there a setting in 3DS which will replay using ram and not the hard drive? Thanks for the help. Daniel Pasholk 1NCOMPSPSMOTOROLA……………c

Your best bet, Daniel, is probably to make the RAM disk bfore starting 3DS. Then you can render to it, and then play off of it! -Alan Iglesias

Alan, good idea – about the RAM drive. But 3DS really should support playing anim's from RAM. It also loves to play them way too fast. Hope this gets fixed in R3. Dave Mennenoh

You can slow the playback down with the arrow keys, David. Also, AAplayHI, if run from the program menu, will play back flics from RAM if there is enough available as runs in protected mode, I believe. -Alan

David, you also can change the playback speed with preview/set speed in the keyframer.

Daniel, You can use the player available here on the forum called AAPLAYHI, in AAPLHI.ZIP (Lib.10). Just put it right in your 3DS Programs menu. It loads the flc into ram. It also includes a scripting language that is well describe in the docs. John
