What machine are you rendering it on??? If it is a pentium turn off the power
save features.
Also increase your files and buffers settings, and consider buying OPTIMIZE
IPAS as this can reeeeeallly help.
I use a Dell Omniplex 566 (Pentium/66) with 64 MB RAM. Power Safe features were
turned off. I made some tests with optimize but I always (ok, sometimes)
optimize my objects when I loft them. That`s the reason why the optimize IPAS
can`t help much.
The problems are the raytraced shadows. If I use shadow-maps rendering time is
about 15 minutes (map-size 2048) ! But the shadows doesn`t look good…
