Can you tell me what the keystroke is for the "undocumented" 3D Studio feature that allows you to capture the screen to a file? I've seen it up here before, but lost the message that contained the information. Best Regards, Brian

Brian, That would be CTRL-PRINT SCREEN. Also the line SET SCREENGRAB=YES has to be added to your AUTOEXEC.BAT. Mark Yankee

Mark, Thanks. I'll play with it. I assume it sends the file to a pre-defined name in the current or root directory. Is this true? Brian

<< I assume it sends the file to a pre-defined name in the current or root directory. >> When you activate the screen grab a box pops up asking for the image name. The image type is configured with RENDER\SETUP\CONFIGURE or something like that. The image is then saved in your IMAGE-PATH. Mark Yankee

Mark, FYI, you do not need to use renderer/setup to pick the image type you want to save a screen capture as. You can simply type it in the dialog box. 3DS will save in any of its standard formats. Dave Mennenoh
