-The Plug-In Partnership is a formal program with marketing, communications
and technical support components designed to help and encourage ISVs to
develop plug-ins for 3D Studio, and ultimately, other Autodesk Multimedia
products like Animator Pro.
-This announcement was prompted by the recent rapid growth in the number of
developers migrating from the SGI, Mac and Amiga platforms to build
plug-ins for 3D Studio.
-By creating an open extensible "platform" for 3D modeling rendering and
animation, Autodesk has positioned 3D Studio as the standard software for
professional animation.
