Anyone know how to take the A3000 mouse apart?
Let me rephrase that.
Does anyone know how to remove the top cover from the A3000 mouse such
that it can be reinstalled to the condition previous to dissassembly?

I've had an Amiga for the last 7 years (A1200 now, but started with A500)
and in that time I've been through 2 C= mice a Golden Image optical mouse
and a Naksha micro switched mouse. Interestingly the Naksha cost the most
and lasted no longer than the others!
Buy a new one, they're cheap $15-$20 and throw the other one away!
BTW, with EVERY mouse I tried to repair it myself (i know a bit about
electronics) but decided that the amount of time I'd have to spend
checking for dry solder joints of bad connections/broken cables it'd be
cheaper to buy a new one 😉

Interesting, and to think that I was still using the same mouse, with no
problems, that came with my 2000 in 1987 until I replaced it with a
trackball about 3 months ago (mouse still works, just prefer trackball).

Perhaps the A2000 has a different mouse, or you use it less or maybe the
stateside mice are different from European (I thought they all came from
the same plant in the philapeans), as you say, Interesting!
