Anyone have any opinions, likes, dislikes on the newer Sony EVO-9720 dual
deck. I guess it's similar to the older 9700 but doesn't have the not so good
titler anymore. I see there is a review on it in this month's Videomaker but
wanted some first hand opinions.
It's advertised as being frame accurate. Maybe not for single framing but for
editing in general.
How important is external syncing of all decks in A/B setups ? This does have
external sync in.
This new deck has 2 RS-232 inputs.
Seems the price with the review in Videomaker is a little off. They show
$5700. I called Computability and they say it's $6040.

Anl expert in Seattle, named Yeager, I think, from Knowledge Pathor something
like that name has a video on this deck. I also spent some time talking to him
as he offers consulting services by phone. He was pretty high on the deck if I
recall.
I can't dig you up the details of how to contact him for a bit as I am going
on vacation. If you want them, send me a message. He advertises in the
backpages of a lot of video magazines so you might be able todig up details
there.
