Hi — I've seen lots of quartz xls in southern Indiana geodes with the
pseudo-cubic habit — they're really Doug's suggestion No. 2, rombohedral
terminations. Sometimes they get encrusted with chalcedony, which gives (I
guess) pseduo-cubic pseudomorphism!! <g>
