Do you mean the 'Diamond Stealth 64' or the 'Diamond Speedstar 64'? We support
the Diamond Stealth 64 (get 1.0.3 inline), but not the Speedstar 64 yet, which
is a Cirrus 5434
Up-and-coming 1.0.4 inline driver will include full VESA hi/true-color support,
so those of you with boards not yet supported can at least get up an running…

Basically, 1.0.4 will be sent to Autodesk QA soon, but they are going to do
some heavy testing on it before they release it to CompuServe because they want
to put it into Release 4 of 3D Studio.
The Speedstar 64 won't be fully supported as we don't yet have support for the
Cirrus 5434, but we will have complete VESA support including hi and
true-color.

I'll ask Autodesk about it–Autodesk is the one who posts it to the Forum. As
for a Beta on our BBS, we probably wouldn't do that unless the delay at
Autodesk was going to be fairly lengthy. If it is ok with Autodesk, they could
put up a Beta 1.0.4 on the forum if they are going to take a while–at this
point, I don't except Autodesk to take very long on the testing for 1.0.4.

Good news. It looks like 1.0.4 will include Cirrus 543x support, so it SHOULD
work on your Diamond Speedstar 64. Vibrant is still waiting for a Diamond
Speedstar 64–we have had an outstanding request for a while, so we'll see
:)–so we haven't made a card-specific listing yet. The Cirrus 543x listing in
the 1.0.4 driver should operate for at least some of the modes.
We will probably be sending 1.0.4 to Autodesk next week.

PS: A note on the Mach64 'speed' problem… we are still researching it.
We are including Mach64 ISA support in 1.0.4.
Thank you so much for letting me know about the new drivers. I hope Diamond
can supply you with a card for your developers. I am looking forward to the
1.0.4 drivers.
