Does anyone know off any hires ERTHMAP or MESH. I wan't to use it as a globe!!!! -M.E

Martin, There's a pretty nice earth map on C$ somewhere. I beleive it's in the ray trace sources library of one of the graphics forums. The easiest way to find it would be to GO GRAPHFF and search for keyword earth. If you can't find it let me know and I'll upload it here. Dave Mennenoh

Martin, There is an Earth map photographed from spce by NASA, very large in size (over 100 MB) someone worked on this map for a long time pixel by pixel, and at that size you will be able to get as close as 1 mile to the earth and will still see a lot of true detaile on earth. The cost??? I am not sure. You can contact Earth Imaging in Santa Monica, CA. and they will be able to help you. I have a 2MB version of the same file. I belive you can purchase different size and resolutions from them. If you are ready to purchase the most accurate map of planet Earth ( with a high price ) let me know and I can find a lot more detail for you. K.
